🕐 A longer-than-expected meeting or shopping session? Don't panic, PayByPhone allows you to extend your parking time remotely, whenever possible!

iOS and Android App:
To extend your parking via the PayByPhone App (Android or iOS) please follow these steps:
👉 Launch the PayByPhone app. Review the existing transaction.
- Click 'Extend'.
👉 Input your duration.
- Select the amount of time you would like to add. A drop-down menu will appear if there are time unit options such as minute, hour, day, week, etc.
- Press 'Continue'.
👉 Review the summary of your parking session.
- The cost, location, duration, and license plate will appear.📋 NOTE: There is no way to edit the information once it has been submitted.
👉 Select your payment type.
- Click 'Pay & Park'
- You can choose from existing payment options or add another payment type.
- Input your CVV number*. If paying by Apple Pay or Google Pay you will need to authenticate via Touch or Face ID.
👉 Wait for the confirmation screen that your session has started!
You will be returned to the home screen where your active session will be visible.
* For the UK Only: you may need to authenticate your payment via SMS or banking application (Strong Customer Authentication)
PayByPhone Website

For users with an Apple Watch, the watch app will install automatically when you download the iOS app.
👉 Select the PayByPhone app Icon.
👉 Click 'Extend.
- Use the + and – buttons to increase or decrease the time
👉 Click Calculate Cost. You will then be shown a parking summary including:
- Cost
- New expiry time
- Location
- Vehicle registration number (license plate)
👉 Select or Change the card you wish to pay with via the drop-down box.
- Press Extend
- You will then be asked to enter your CVV code followed by OK *
- You will receive a notification that your parking is complete

Automated Phone Service
To Extend your parking via our Automated Phone Service please follow these steps:
👉 Dial 0330 400 7275 (UK) and 1 888 680 7275 (North America) or the phone number on the PayByPhone signage at your location.
👉 Input your PIN
👉 Details of your Current Active Session will be read to you
- Press 1 to add more time
- Enter the period of time you wish to extend by followed by #
- Enter the CVV of the card you are using to park
You will receive confirmation that the vehicle has been parked.
SMS (only for the UK)
To Extend your parking SMS Service please follow these steps:
👉 Send a text message to 65565 with your PayByPhone Location code, the duration you would like to park for, and the 3-digit security code (CVV) on the back of your payment card:
- Example: 12345 1h 111

Duration format for SMS messages:
1m = 1 minute
1h = 1 hour
1d = 24 hours
👉 Wait for your parking session to be confirmed
- You will receive a text back confirming your extension.
📋 NOTE: Please do not leave your vehicle until you have received this confirmation message.
PayPoint (Only for the UK)
To Extend your parking using cash via a PayPoint location, please follow these steps:
👉To extend your parking session please visit a PayPoint store.
To find your nearest PayPoint store, you can:
- View a map of all PayPoint stores by clicking here
- Send the word CASH via SMS to 60075 along with the PayByPhone location of where you are parked. We will reply with details of your two nearest PayPoint stores
- Look out for stores bearing the following signage
I can't extend my parking session, why? |
PayByPhone customers are subjected to the same parking restrictions as customers who pay through the meter. Some areas prevent users from repeat parking after staying for the maximum time allowed by implementing a wait time i.e. 30 minutes.
In this case, users are unable to park at the same location, or possibly at other meters on the same block, until the defined wait time has passed.
