Use PayByPhone on an older device or browser

To use PayByPhone in the best conditions, make sure your device or browser is compatible with our app.

If your device does not support the latest app version, you can still create a PayByPhone shortcut from our mobile website.

Check device and browser compatibility

PayByPhone works with the following minimum versions:

	iOS 16.0 or later
	Android 9.0 or later
	Unsupported browsers include Internet Explorer version 13 or earlier, and Safari version 13 or earlier.

If you do not have access to these versions, you can still use PayByPhone from our mobile website by adding a shortcut to your home screen.

Create a shortcut on an older iPhone

Follow these steps if your iPhone is using a version earlier than iOS 16.0.

1. Open your mobile browser, Safari.
2. Go to our mobile website: m.paybyphone.fr, m.paybyphone.ch, or m.paybyphone.com.
3. Tap the share icon at the bottom of the screen.
4. Tap '+', then select 'On the Home Screen'.
5. Name the shortcut 'PayByPhone'.
6. Tap 'Add'.

A new shortcut with the PayByPhone logo will appear on your home screen.

Create a shortcut on an older Android device

Follow these steps if your Android device is using a version earlier than Android 9.0.

1. Go to our mobile website: m.paybyphone.fr, m.paybyphone.ch, or m.paybyphone.com.
2. Tap the three dots in the top right corner of your browser.
3. Select 'Add to Home Screen'.
4. Tap 'Add' again to confirm.

A new shortcut with the PayByPhone logo will appear on your home screen.
