At some UK locations, such as hospital car parks (where it can be challenging to know how long you'll be), you may see signs advising you can pay when you exit.
We are unable to amend/backdate the start time of a parking session. Instead, simply input the correct duration to cover your stay.
Where this is the case, rather than check the precise timings, the parking operator will check that the value of your payment relates to the time your vehicle was on-site on the day, according to their cameras. The payment typically needs to be made before midnight, before the cameras reset.
Please note, our general guidance is to pay upon arrival. Be sure to check signs for confirmation that pay-on-exit is permitted. PayByPhone support may not know how parking is monitored for enforcement purposes by Parking Operator/location.
