Registration

The (free) registration process includes a few steps to get you started!

👉 Account Signup

Input your 'Phone number', 'Email address', and 'choose a password'.
Click 'Agree & Register'.

👉 Review the privacy policy

There are three options to choose from:

'Accept All'
'Decline All'
Click 'Info and Customize' (a great spot to review the options in more detail)

👉 You are set up! Follow the Parking Payment Flow to purchase parking, the system will collect a few more details from you.

👉 Launch the app.

📋 NOTE: The location number displayed on the meter decal or sign poster.

👉 Choose the vehicle license plate you are using

Select an already registered vehicle or 'Add Vehicle'.

👉 Enter your duration in minutes, hours, or days (time units vary by parking operator)

Be sure to take note of any time restraints on the space, then click 'Confirm duration'
Some locations offer a Park Until feature that allows you to select an end time.

👉 Add or select a payment method

First time adding a card? You'll be asked to enter your email address on the payment form to receive an email receipt with parking and payment confirmation.
Choose your payment card. Multiple cards? Tap the downward arrow next to the credit card image to select a different card.

📋 NOTE: Only card types that are accepted at the location will appear.

PayByPhone supports numerous methods of payment. Depending on where you park, you may have the option to use Visa, MasterCard, Amex, Discover, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.

Parking with an Unregistered (Guest) Account

As a Guest user, you may still park using PayByPhone but no official account will be created for you.

You’ll still be able to enjoy the convenience of using PayByPhone to pay for parking. However, features like access to past transaction, SMS notifications, and some account settings won’t be available until you complete your full account registration. We recommend registering for a full account to unlock these benefits.

Parking Extensions

If you’re running late, there’s no need to worry about getting a ticket because you can extend your parking from anywhere! It only takes a couple of clicks and a matter of seconds to extend a parking session from the main page.

📋 NOTE: Parking extensions are based on the parking operator's restrictions.

👉Launch the PayByPhone app.

Click 'Extend'.

👉 Input your duration.

Click the 'Extend Parking' button.
Review the summary of your parking session including the cost.

👉Select your payment type.

Click 'Pay & Park'.

Menu Options

Your account settings can be located via the 'Account' tab located on the Navigation tab (at the bottom) of the screen. Read below to learn about all of your options.

Auto Payment (UK, DE)

👉Activity History

Click 'Activity History', to view your parking list. You can click on the transaction and it will open up to a new screen that you can export.

Parking coupons

Click the 'Parking coupons' tile to see if a business if offering discounted parking in your area. Business owners can set up discounted parking for their patrons. Explore our Coupons FAQ here

👉FPS (France)

Click on the Account Settings and then tap FPS to pay for your parking ticket.

👉 Permits - available in the UK

In order to register for a Visitor Permit, please follow the instructions below :

Select 'Permits' in the menu.
Select 'Apply for a Permit'.
Select the operator.
Then from the dropdown below select the type of permit, you are applying for.
Input your address followed by your full name and date of birth.
Your zone will then be automatically populated.
Click 'Submit'.

A verification will then take place to confirm your details and eligibility to purchase visitor permits in this zone. Once you have been verified, you will receive an email confirming that you can now purchase visitor permits.Your eligible zone will now show in the Permit Section of your account.

👉AutoPay - available in the UK and Germany

Opt in

Click the 'Account' tab located on the Navigation tab (at the bottom) of the screen. Then tap 'AutoPay'. Select operator from the link, Add/choose vehicle rom the drop down menu, click 'Submit'. The plate will appear as Approved Status.

Opt out

Click the 'Account' tab located on the Navigation tab (at the bottom) of the screen. Then tap 'AutoPay'. Select the three dots next to your opted in vehicle. Select 'Opt out'. 'Submit'. If you had more than on the vehicle on the list, the remaining plates will still appear on the list.

👉 Premier Bays - available in the UK

In order to purchase/renew a Premier Bay at any NCP Greater Anglia station you will first need a PayByPhone account.

In order to create an active Premier Bay session please then:

Ensure you have your payment card and vehicles registered on your PayByPhone account.
Complete the form here and we'll quickly get back to you to complete payment.

👉Profile

Click the 'Account' tab located on the Navigation tab (at the bottom) of the screen. Then tap 'Profile'. Select from 'Name', 'Email', 'Phone number', and 'Address'. The options are below:

1. Name

2. Phone number

3. Email Address

4. Address

👉 Settings

Select 'Account' at the bottom of the navigation tab. Select 'Settings' to edit 'Country Settings', Promotions & Privacy', 'Parking Notifications', or 'Delete account'.

Customise your preference by toggling the options On/Off.

Parking Notifications

Customise your preference by toggling the options On/Off. You can opt in for Email receipts, SMS reminders or SMS confirmations.

Delete account

Select 'Account' at the bottom of the navigation tab. Select 'Account settings' > 'Delete account'.

👉 Payment Methods

Add card

Click the 'Account' tab located on the Navigation tab (at the bottom) of the screen. Then tap 'Payment methods'. Input the card details and click 'Add card'. The payment card will appear saved. You can add as many payment methods as you like!

Remove card

Click the 'Account' tab located on the Navigation tab (at the bottom) of the screen. Then tap 'Payment methods'. Click 'Delete' card > confirm 'Delete card'. Or, press 'Cancel' to abort.

👉Vehicle Management

Add Vehicle

Click the 'Account' tab located on the Navigation tab (at the bottom) of the screen. Then tap 'Vehicle Management'. Input the vehicle details and click 'Add Vehicle'.

Remove Vehicle

Click the 'Account' tab located on the Navigation tab (at the bottom) of the screen. Then tap 'Vehicle details'. Click 'Delete'.

👉 Help & Support

Click the 'Account' tab located on the Navigation tab (at the bottom) of the screen. Then tap 'Help & Support'.

Visit the 'Help Centre' to visit our Customer Support knowledge base including an option to connect to an agent via our 'Virtual Assistant Parker', tap 'Chat with me' and follow the prompts.

Click 'Submit Feedback' to share your comments with our Product team.
