Change or reset your PayByPhone password or PIN
Registered PayByPhone account holders can change or reset their password through the PayByPhone app or mobile website.
The automated phone line (IVR) uses a separate six-digit PIN. You can create or reset this PIN directly through the phone system.

Change a password you know
Follow these steps if you can sign in and know your current password.
- Sign in to the PayByPhone app.
- Tap 'Profile' at the bottom of the screen.
- Tap 'Account Settings'.
- Tap 'Change Password'.
- Enter your current password.
- Enter your new password.
- Enter the new password again to confirm it.
- Save your changes.
Your new password will be used the next time you sign in to your PayByPhone account.
Reset a password in the app or on the mobile website
Follow these steps if you have forgotten your password and cannot sign in.
- Open the PayByPhone app or visit m.paybyphone.com.
- Tap 'Sign In'.
- Tap 'Forgot password?'
- Enter the phone number associated with your account.
- Tap 'Send code'.
- Enter the six-digit verification code sent by SMS or email.

Enter and confirm your new password.
Note: Your verification code will be sent by SMS or email using the contact information associated with your PayByPhone account.
Didn’t receive your verification code?
Verification codes may take a few minutes to arrive. If you have not received your code, try the following:
- Confirm that you entered the phone number associated with your PayByPhone account.
- If the code was sent by SMS, check your blocked or filtered messages and confirm that your phone can receive text messages.
- If the code was sent by email, check your spam or junk folder.
- Add verification@mail.paybyphone.com to your trusted or safe senders list.
- Contact your mobile or email provider to confirm that PayByPhone messages are not being blocked.
If you still do not receive the code, contact PayByPhone Support and let us know whether you requested the code by SMS or email and which troubleshooting steps you completed.
Create or reset an automated phone line PIN
The automated phone line uses a separate PIN from your PayByPhone account password.
- Call the PayByPhone automated phone number for your parking location.
- When prompted to enter your PIN, press '0'.
- Press '1' to confirm that you want to continue.
- Wait for the temporary PIN to be sent to your phone by SMS.
- Enter the temporary PIN followed by the '#' key.
- Enter your new six-digit PIN followed by the '#' key.
Once your new PIN is confirmed, you can remain on the line to start a parking session or end the call.
Note: If you do not receive the temporary PIN, follow the instructions provided by the automated phone system or use the PayByPhone app or mobile website.
