Signing up for a PayByPhone account only takes a few steps. Once your (free) registration is complete, it's only a few extra steps to purchase parking.

The sign-up process is the same for iOS & Android with the exception of where you download the app!
👉 Open the PayByPhone app
You have four options:
- Sign in
- Register
- Sign in with Apple
- Sign in with Facebook
- Continue without an account
👉 Account Signup
- Click Register
- Input your phone number, and email address, and choose a password (Min 6 characters)
- Click 'Agree & Register'.
👉 Review the privacy policy. There are three options to choose from:
- 'Accept All'
- 'Decline All'
- Click 'Info and Customize' a great spot to review the options in more detail
👉 Purchasing parking now?
- To pay for current parking, input the location code or use our Location services (Maps, Nearby Locations) to find your spot!
📋 NOTE: To finish the account creation without paying for a parking spot, Click 'Account Settings' , and visit Vehicle Management as well as Payment Details.
👉 Add a Vehicle
- Click 'Add Vehicle'.
- Input the 'license plate/Registration', 'State/Province, 'Vehicle Type, and any description you'd like to add.
- Click the camera icon to add a photo of your vehicle (not mandatory).
- Click 'Add Vehicle'
👉 Add a payment method
- The accepted card types that are available at the location will be displayed.
- Click 'Add Payment' method
- 'Add Card details'
- Click 'Add & Agree'

👉 Launch the PayByPhone app from any web browser.
You have four options:
- Sign in
- Register
- Sign in with Apple
- Continue without an account
👉 Input your information and let us know you are not a robot.
- Mobile Phone number: this will become your 'account' number.
- ⚠️ IMPORTANT: If the phone number is already in use, the app will ask you to select another phone number. If you already have an account, you can go back and login to the existing account. Please contact support if you would like to check on any pre-existing accounts or recycled phone numbers. There is a limit of one account/phone number.
- Email address: This is required so we can send you parking receipts and service updates
- Password: This is required to secure your account
- Click the 'I'm not a Robot' field.
👉 Review the Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy & Cookies Policy.
There are three options to choose from:
- 'Accept All'

- Click 'Info and Customize'. This is a great spot to review the options in more detail
👉 Review the default Notification settings.
- Click 'Agree & Register' if you choose to accept these policies and proceed with an account.

Automated Phone System (IVR)
To register via our automated phone service, please ensure you have a valid credit or debit card to hand and your vehicle registration number. Then:
Setting up a New Account via the IVR
You will be asked to enter your mobile number as part of the account registration process. Your PayByPhone user account will be tied to this phone number.
👉 Create a PIN
For security purposes, you will be asked to create a PIN number of your choice. PIN numbers require a minimum of 6 digits.
Each time you call the PayByPhone IVR, you will be required to enter your PIN number. Please make sure not to forget your pin number. Should you forget your pin number, use the reset pin instructions below.
👉 Add your Payment details
A valid credit card is required to pay for parking. You will be asked to enter a valid credit card number, the expiry date (month and year), and the CVV number on the back of the credit card.
👉 Add a Vehicle
To add a vehicle to your account, enter the license plate using your phone’s keypad (you will first be asked to select the number that contains a letter you are looking for, then you will be asked which letter out of the 3 or 4 letters available per the number you would like to select).
New Parking Session
Once you have registered for an account, you will be able to pay for parking. You can hang up any time during the call to cancel setting up your parking session.
👉 Input the location number.
Input the location number that is displayed on the PayByPhone signage (usually located on a meter, nearby sign, or painted on the ground).
👉 Select the license plate.
Your plate will automatically select the last vehicle you parked with using the PayByPhone service. Alternatively, you can easily change the vehicle you would like to park by following the voice prompts.
👉 Parking Rates.
If the location you are trying to park offers different rates depending on eligibility, you may be prompted to select an option. Categories of eligibility include residential, disabled, employee, visitor, and emission-based parking.
👉 Input the duration.
Next, you will be asked to enter how long you would like to park for.
If the time you entered is over the maximum time you can park at the location, you will be notified and asked to change your parking duration.
👉 Confirm the parking details.
Before charging your payment method, we will provide you with an overview of your parking session including the:

Location you want to park at

Vehicle you’re parking with

Duration of your parking session

Payment card you’re paying for the session with
You can make changes to any of the above information by pressing 2. Or press 1 to confirm and complete your parking session.
📋 NOTE: The system automatically recognizes the phone number you are calling from each time you dial in, and this will be your account number. If your phone number is masked, you will be prompted to input the phone number and security code.
