Important notes:
Here are some concerns that you may experience while using Apple Sign In:
- Apple provides a user the ability to hide their email address when signing in with their Apple ID for the first time. If you do this please note that the email on your PayByPhone account will change to what is called a Proxy email address. This is a fake email address unique to your Apple account so that Apple can forward email's to you directly. If you open your PBP App menu after using this option and see an odd email that looks fraudulent you can match it against your Apple proxy email only shown in your Apple account itself. Here is an example xxxxxxxxx@privaterelay.appleid.com.
- If you have registered a PayByPhone account via Apple sign in then you have not created a password for your PayByPhone account. A PayByPhone password is not needed if you are using Apple Sign In because Apple is taking responsibility for your security here. If you cease to use Apple Sign In and go to a regular sign in via the PBP App login screen, you will need to do a Password reset from the App's login page (you do not choose the register option as you already have an account). If you still are experiencing difficulties, you can create a help request ticket from the help request ticket via the button at the bottom of the Help-Center homepage.
- If you cease to use Apple Sign In it is important to remember if you used the mask email address option you will need to go to the PBP App menu (gear icon at the top right) and change the email address on your account. The proxy email that was used will no longer work because you are not using the Apple Sign In option.
