Auto payments are processed 5 calendar days before the last day of the month. If you need to update your credit card information prior to next payment, you can do so on your PayByPhone profile, see below steps:
Login to your account at https://paybyphone.com/account
Click the Profile button
Scroll to the Payment Details section and enter your payment card details
Click Update Payment Information button
In the event PayByPhone is unable to deduct payment from your credit card, the system will disable the auto-renew feature on your profile.
To re-enable this feature, purchase a new permit at www.paybyphone.com/mbta.
Be sure to update your credit card info (as outlined above) before doing so to ensure payment is successfully processed at next attempt.
If you need to cancel the auto-renewal of your permit, you are required to give 1 month notice by email to firstname.lastname@example.org
Please include your vehicle license plate and account number in the email.
