Is Your Phone Compatible?
At this time, the new Android App only supports devices that have OS 7 and above.
What's New?
If you’re new to the app, you’ll be quickly taken through our registration process which includes:
- User Account Signup
- Payment Details
- Adding a Vehicle
- Notification Settings
The first step is mandatory and requires you to add your phone number, a choice of password and an email address.
We know that you’re busy, so after you finish adding these mandatory details, each of the subsequent steps are optional and can be completed when you’re ready to use the app.
The app features a brand new design that displays stunning images of the city you’re in, where available, on the main page. To keep you in the loop, this page may also display special announcements from your community and news from parking operators.
We’re not messing with a good thing - if you’re a regular user of the app, you’ll notice that the parking process is the same as before, keeping in line with our mobile web version.
However, to make the process as clear as possible, there are now three screens dedicated to the location, duration, and payment.
The new design incorporates what we learned from our iOS app as well as the customer feedback we received. Each screen transitions flawlessly to the next, allowing you to easily complete your parking.
Parking Profiles
You can now be charged based on your eligibility to park. On this page, you can to select different rates for different scenarios like residential, disabled or visitor parking. This means you’ll always be able to select the rate that’s right for you.
If a location has multiple rates available, the choice of rates will appear at the top of the screen.
Once you successfully complete a parking transaction, the app will return to the main page and display the remaining time. This time counts down by the second, giving you a real-time view of how much time you have remaining, so you don’t need to keep thinking about when your parking expires.
Extending Parking
If you’re running late, there’s no need to worry about getting a ticket because you can extend your parking from anywhere! It only takes a couple of clicks and a matter of seconds to extend a parking session from the main page.
One of the biggest additions to the new Android App is that you can now pay for parking with Google Pay!
If Google Pay is set up on your phone and your Google Pay wallet contains a payment card that is accepted at that location, you’ll be able to complete your purchase using that option.
Currently, this feature is only available in North America, but work is underway to get it online for all regions!
Do you sometimes forget where you parked? You can now use the map to pin your vehicle so that it’s easy to find your car later. This feature is especially useful in off-street locations and underground garages. One day we hope to use the map in a more meaningful way to select and start parking.
You’ll still be able to manage your own account but now it’s even easier! Right from the app, you can access all of the options that are currently available on the mobile web. To get here, you just need to click on the hamburger icon (three bars) at the top of the screen.
In payment options, you can now see a more visual view of the card on file, and location services allows you to override the automatically detected region.
We know that you have a ton of passwords to remember, so we’ve made ours super easy to reset! The reset feature will send a secure link via SMS for you to click on and follow the prompts, getting you back into your account a lot faster.
Credit Card Capture via Camera
In a rush? You can now add a credit card to your account just by taking a photo of it!
NOTE: We don’t store any images in the app. The app merely uses the camera to read the numbers.
